Barbara Cocca Obituary

We are sad to announce that on October 15, 2020, at the age of 86, Barbara Cocca (Newton, Massachusetts) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Barbara Cocca to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony Ascolese and Josephine Ascolese of Newton Highlands; and her brother Francis Ascolese of Venice, FL.. She is survived by: her brother Deacon Michael Ascolese (Jean) of Cincinnati, OH; her daughters, Christine Fopiano (Michael) of Lexington, MA and Theresa Catino (Steven) of Stoneham, MA.; her granddaughters, Melissa Fopiano of New York City, Sara Fopiano of Boston and Stephanie Catino of Stoneham; and her sibling's children, Timothy Ascolese, Mark Ascolese (Barbara), Christopher Ascolese (Margaret), Richard Ascolese (Robin), Kevin Ascolese (Sofia) and Jacqueline Fiore (Bill). She is also survived by great-great-nieces and nephews and her loving cousins and friends.

Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, a Funeral Mass and interment in Newton Cemetery will be held at a later date.

She built the foundation for her successes and those of her daughters and granddaughters with unwavering love.
