We are sad to announce that on January 20, 2022 we had to say goodbye to Bessie Shapiro in Newton, Massachusetts, born in Saco, Maine. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Shapiro and Ida Shapiro (Shuman); and her sibling Jessie Kessler (Shapiro). She is survived by: her siblings, Morris Shapiro, Goodall Shapiro, Anne White (Shapiro), Lena Shapiro, Elliot Shapiro and Miriam Appelbaum (Shapiro).

Because of covid her 105th birthday was celebrated on the porch of Evans Park with a few in attendance and many on Zoom.
