He was predeceased by: his brother Antonio "Jerry" Franchi; and his parent Luigi Franchi. He is survived by: his wife Olga Franchi (Iafrate); his children, John Franchi (Diane) of Westwood, David Franchi (Theresa) of Littleton and Lisa Carroll (Gerry) of Natick; his siblings, Pasquale Franchi, Mary Franchi and Anthony Franchi; his parent Giovanna Franchi (Tullio); and his grandchildren, John, Christine, Alanna, Jennifer Franchi, Renee Franchi, David Franchi, Brendan Carroll and Kristen Carroll. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
