He was loved and cherished by many people including: his granddaughters, Julia Tirah Haywood, Zoë Madison Smith and Carmen Victoria Velez Haywood; his great grandchild Giovanni Alberto Marshall Morales; his close friend Tom Whiting; his friends, Skip Carter and Flub Allen; his wife Karen; his children, Kristen (Kevin Armstrong) and Howard Jr.; his brothers, Walter and Gerald; his daughter Georgiana; and his siblings, Alfred, Arthur and Elizabeth. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, a host of cousins and friends.
