It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lavina Tomb (Newton, Massachusetts), born in Syracuse, New York, who passed away on May 9, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Aurin Moody Chase and Lavina Bunton Chase; her husband Hugh McKelvy Tomb; her son John McKelvy Tomb II; and her siblings, Aurin Moody Chase, Jr. (Osmunde), Donald Chase, Lucy Chase Sparks (David), Austin Carleton Chase (Margaret) and Elizabeth Chase Pilotte (Adelard).
She is survived by: her sons, William Chase Tomb (Lynn Stowe Tomb) of Gill, MA and Douglas Bunton Tomb (Beverly Baynes Tomb) of Falls Church, VA; her grandchildren, Meghan Tomb Gladstone (William) of New York City and Jonathan Chase Tomb (Allison) of Huntington, VT.; her great grandchildren, Gannon, Zoe, Emmett and Lachlyn; and her sisters, Nancy Chase Kilquist Lockwood (Mary Jane Chase) of Whitefield, NH and Viney. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
