He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Baran and Rachel Baran (Caron); and his siblings, Frank, Donald Baran and Beatrice Ames.
He is survived by: his wife Christina M. VanVleck; his sons, Christopher Baran (Laura) of North Adams and Peter Baran (Nancy) of Adams; his grandson Ryan Baran (Kelsey Wohrle) of Cheshire; and his sister Joan Bator of Cheshire. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
