He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Hank Hamel; his wife Kathleen Pitochelli Hamel of North Andover; his daughters, Alyssa Ainsworth and Maria Hamel; his grandson Emmett Oliver Ainsworth; his son-in-law Lucas Ainsworth; his sisters, Rita Arsenault of Andover, MA and Irene Proulx of Atkinson, NH; and his sisters-in-law, Fran McCormick of Somerville, MA and Mary Pitochelli of Andover, MA. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and friends.
