He was predeceased by: his parents, Augustine Scannell and Katherine Scannell; and his wife Nancy Fleury Scannell. He is survived by: his significant other Barbara Langlois of Merrimac.
He battled a long bout with Parkinson's Disease which was the result of exposure to Agent Orange while stationed in Vietnam.
