Melvin of North Andover, Massachusetts, born in Groveland, Massachusetts, who passed away on February 12, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Marilyn "Mal" Melvin (Booth); his parents, James E. Melvin and Mary Melvin (Casey); and his siblings, James Melvin, Jack Melvin, Dorothy Honohan (William) and Claire Mosson (Francis).
He is survived by: his children, Sean of Bradford, Michael (Jacqueline) of Hampton, NH, Brendan (Susan) of Newburyport, J. Timothy of North Andover, Mary Smolak (John) of North Andover and Christopher (Christine) of North Andover; his grandchildren, Casey, Jason, Michael, Patrick, Jeremy, Julle, Kelly, Liam, T. J., Lauren, Devon, Kathleen, Teddy, Madison and Caroline; and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Melvin of North Andover and Mary Louise Booth of Methuen. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made in William's memory to the veteran's organization of one's choice or to St. Michael's Church.
