She was predeceased by : her father Martin Thornton; her former life partner Ed Hogan; her stepdaughter Carla Walton; her stepgrandson Stephan Johnson; and her siblings, Penelope Famulari, Mary Crouse, Marjorie Lawler, Eileen Hughes and John Thornton.

She is survived by : her husband William Tewksbury; her stepdaughter Mary Johnson; and her stepgrandson Thomas Johnson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
