It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Demetre Vissas (Northampton, Massachusetts), who passed away on October 10, 2018, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonidas Vissas and Barbara Vissas (Varvitsiotis); and his sisters, Jeannie, Dina, Eleftheria and Maria.

He is survived by: his spouse Kalliope "Popi"; his children, Leo (Rebecca), Barbara Doherty (David) and Angelo (Meredith); his grandchildren, Kalliope, Demetre, Helen and Ephie; and his siblings, Peter (Christina) and Petoula. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
