He was predeceased by : his parent John P. Hanieski; and his siblings, Frank (Hanieski), Joseph Hanieski, Gamer, Paul, Sophie and Wick.

He is survived by : his parent Natalie Hanieski (Rojecka); his wife Anne Hanieski (Bak); his children, Debbie Semensi (Jac), Cheryl Sabola (Bob) of Sunderland and Mike Hanieski (Julie); and his grandchildren, Jeff Sabola (Samantha), Matt Sabola, Mia, Gina Semensi, Doug and Jake Hanieski.
