He was predeceased by : his parents, Harry J. Mattson and Marion Mattson (Klich). He is survived by : his significant other Maureen Ross O'Connell of Holyoke; his children, David Mattson (Mary) of Concord, NH, Michele Lawrence (John) of Carollton, TX, Jaime Smith (Brian) of West Springfield and Robin Sayward (Jay) of West Springfield; and his brothers, Ronald Mattson of Holliston and John Mattson of Ware. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Francis Ouimet Scholarship Fund, 300 Arnold Palmer Blvd., Norton, MA 02766.
