It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marie Maguire Power of Norwood, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 5, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Richard F. Power; her parents, Owen J. Maguire and Mary Maguire (Murphy); her siblings, Eileen C. Fitzgerald and Owen J. Maguire, Jr.; her cousin Geraldine DeCelle; and her siblings-in-law, Bernard Fitzgerald, Justin E. Power, Jr., Leo T. Power, Ruth Campbell, Robert Power, Mary Louise Brennan and Margaret J. Shea.
She is survived by: her children, Siobhan Power Santisi (Frank) of Westwood, Meredith Nichols (Mark) of Westwood, Jennifer Power (Bob Litterer) of Westwood and Richard M. Power of Canton; her grandchildren, Michael Santisi, Katherine Santisi, Monica Nichols, Caroline Power, Elena Nichols and Justin Power; her cousins, Francis C. (Cliff) and John Thompson; and her siblings-in-law, Dorothy Maguire, Rita Power and Chailang Palacios.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home (55 High Rock St, Westwood, MA 02090). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help (Mission Church) (1545 Tremont St, Boston, MA 02120). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Joseph Cemetery (990 Lagrange St, Boston, MA 02132).
In lieu of flowers, Marie wished to honor her sister by supporting ALS Research at The Sean M. Healey & AMG Center for ALS at MGH.
