Philip T. Hughes Jr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Philip T. Hughes Jr. of Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts, born in Hartford, Connecticut, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 11, 2025 at the age of 84. He is survived by: his wife Joan L. Hughes; his children, Philip T. Hughes III (Jill Solloway), Kelley Hughes-Liao (David Liao) and Dana Hughes; his stepson Nathaniel Lanza (Laura Valentine); his grandchildren, Morgan Hughes, Philip T. Hughes IV, Iris Liao, Ray Valentine Lanza and Aleks Valentine Lanza; his former wife Patricia Hughes of Oak Bluffs; and also Robert Hughes.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sailing Camp Park (Sailing Camp Park, Oak Bluffs, MA 02568).
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Island ASPCA , or an island organization of your choice.
