He was predeceased by : his parents, Jose Bettencourt and Madalena Bettencourt. He is survived by : his wife Diane Bettencourt; his former life partner Teresina Bettencourt; his daughter Maria Theresa Barcamonte; his son-in-law Valter Barcamonte; and his sister Maria T. Vasconcelos. He is also survived by his nephews, nieces and grandnieces.
