He was predeceased by: his parent Jesus Vilar; and his brothers, Jerry Vilar, Ramon Vilar and Anthony Vilar. He is survived by: his spouse Catherine G. "Kay" Vilar (Cordeau); his parent Maria Vilar (Torres); and his siblings-in-law, Gladys Nicotera (Leo) of Woburn, Joseph Cordeau (Anna) of York, ME and Richard Cordeau (Margie) of Lynn. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
