He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Jaehnig and Frances Jaehnig (Sullivan); his wife Ellen Jaehnig (Gurry); his daughter Maryellen Jaehnig McGinty; and his siblings, Rita Pistone, Charles Jaehnig and Paul Jaehnig.
He is survived by: his sons, Arthur Jaehnig Jr. (Pat) and Gerard Jaehnig (Diana Farrell) of Sebastian; and his great grandchildren, Olivia, Henry Jaehnig, Aubrey and Penny Berto. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
