With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Arthur M. McMakin Sr. (Quincy, Massachusetts), born in Braintree, Massachusetts, who passed away on May 1, 2020. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John F. McMakin and Helen B. McMakin (Mendall); and his grandson Richard D. Hocking, III. He is survived by: his close friend Marie Kahler of Raynham; his children, Gerard F. McMakin of Berkley, Mary L. Hocking, Claire M. McMakin of Fall River, Arthur M. McMakin, Jr., S. Easton, Paul J. McMakin, Joseph E. McMakin, Bridgewater and Janee E. Skomial; his grandchildren, Alison McMakin, Danny Jones, Christopher Feldhouse, Theresa Morgado, Brian Hocking, Brittany McMakin, Ryan Smith, Katie McMakin, Alicia Donovan, Justin Donovan and Joseph E. McMakin, Jr.; and his sister Elizabeth Whalen of Abington. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
