She was predeceased by : her husband Edward Melanson, Sr.; her son Michael Melanson; her parents, Thomas Galvin and Frances Galvin of Dorchester, MA; and her siblings, Thomas Galvin, Diane Laronde and Janice Kenefick.

She is survived by : her children, Karen Melanson of California, Edward Melanson, Jr. of Colorado and Paul Melanson of Delaware; her grandchildren, Samantha, Nick, James, Daniel, Edward and Anne; and her great grandchild Colton.
