Elva M. Cotter Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elva M. Cotter of Braintree, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 29, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gladys Shand (Haskell) and Irving D. Shand; her husband Maurice J. Cotter; her stepdaughter Mary Jane Parker (late Darryl); and her siblings, Phyllis McAskill, Eugene "Buddy" Shand and Richard "Dicky" Shand.
She is survived by: her children, Daniel J. Cotter of Weymouth, Caroline J. Chaplain of Quincy and Jeffrey D. Cotter (Jennifer) of Abington; her grandchildren, David Cotter (Hannah Sykes), Jayne Renee McGuire, Joy Ashford, James Cotter and Joseph Cotter; her great grandchildren, Hunter Cotter, Chloe Mae Cotter, Kendra McGuire, Rebecca McGuire, Kenneth Mullen and Lily Ashford; and her brother Jimmy Shand. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Mount Wollaston Cemetery (20 Sea St, Quincy, MA 02169).
