He was predeceased by: his parents, Toufic "Toffee" and Nowfe "Nellie" Derbes (Hassan); his brothers, Richard "Hus" and Robert H., Sr.; his sister-in-law Marilyn; and his sisters, Carol Ohrenberger and Jazell N. Derbes.
He is survived by: his significant other Arleen (MacLean); his children, Cheryl J. Derbes-Freeman (Alton), Frank T. Derbes (Joyce) and Tanya M. Lyons (Michael); his siblings, Margaret "Peggy" Pignone (Edward) and Toffee (Linda); his sister-in-law Connie Derbes; and his brother Kimal (Mary). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
