She was predeceased by: her parents, Christopher J. McDermott and Josephine M. McDermott (Macalini); her spouse J. Joseph Tinney; and her daughter Eileen Tinney. She is survived by: her children, Joseph Tinney (Ann) of Walpole, Patricia Tinney of Braintree, Daniel Tinney of Quincy, Edward Tinney (Andrea) of Quincy and Jo-Ann Tinney of Quincy; her grandchildren, Yasmina Maria Tinney, William Joseph Tinney, Cristina Tinney, Aimee Tinney and John Joseph Tinney; her great grandchild Jack Richardson; her siblings, Anne Griffin of Mashpee, Mary Boyd, Dorothea Basney, Christopher McDermott, James McDermott and Kathryn Hager; her close friend Kay Calabro; and her children, Marylou, Gail, Linda, Irish, Tommy Byrne, Denis O'Gorman, Teresa Gilmore of Galway, Ireland and Ann Grealy of Quincy.
