He was predeceased by: his sister Louise Doucette; and his parents, Michael J. Panaro and Louise W. Panaro (Hadfield). He is survived by: his sons, Michael D. Panaro, Jr. (Kathy) of Dedham, John E. F. Panaro (Sherri) of Derry, NH, Mark D. Taylor (Kim) of Quincy and Lance B. Taylor of Weymouth; his grandchildren, Mark, Kevin, Julianne, Anthony, Vincent and Charles; and his siblings, Kenneth W. Panaro of Quincy, Susan C. Barry of Daytona Beach, FL, Dorothy A. Panaro of Plymouth Meeting, PA and Joni-Marie O'Keefe of Scituate. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
