He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert A. Ranton and Elizabeth A. Ranton (Schlitht); and his wife Joan A. Ranton (Duffy). He is survived by: his sons, Robert A. Ranton III (Mary) of Milton and Richard A. Ranton (Ellen) of Kingston; and his sisters, Dorothy Garrity of Dorchester and Luella Meneely of Milton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
