He was predeceased by: his son Robert McLaughlin; and his brothers, Alfred McLaughlin and George McLaughlin. He is survived by: his wife Frances P. "Phyllis" McLaughlin (O'Hara) of Revere; his sons, John R. McLaughlin (Danae) of Saugus, Scott A. McLaughlin (Kathie) of Melrose and Stephen M. McLaughlin (Becky Tamburino) of North Billerica; his grandchildren, Ryan McLaughlin (Katie) of Melrose, Kaci L. McLaughlin of San Marcos, Calif and Christen M. McLaughlin of Danvers; his sister Mary Connolly of Florida; and his niece Karen Santilli of Revere. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
