He was predeceased by: his parents, Domenico Mellace and Rosina (Squillacioti); and his son Robert Mellace (Holly). He is survived by: his wife Maria (Russo); his children, Lucia Castle (Blaine) of Saugus and John Mellace (Sveta) of Peabody; his grandchildren, Mariella, Jack, Ella, John and Brielle; and his siblings, Salvatore Mellace (Michelle), Dartmouth, Leo Mellace of Revere and Anthony Mellace of Chelsea. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Buonfiglio Funeral Home (128 Revere St, Revere, MA 02151). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons Funeral Home (128 Revere St, Revere, MA 02151). A Mass was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Anthony of Padua Church (250 Revere St, Revere, MA 02151).
