We are sad to announce that on November 27, 2018, at the age of 89, Jean P. Cooney (Rockport, Massachusetts), born in Gloucester, Massachusetts passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jean P. Cooney to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her sister Fay LaCombe; and her friend Nona Porter. She is survived by: her parents, Anna Sawyer (Doyle) and George I. Sawyer; her spouse Matthew W. Cooney, Jr.; her children, Martha Cooney, Peter Cooney and Claire Cooney; her husband Ron DeRocher; her grandchildren, Jessica Sullivan, Meredith Cooney, Ethan Cooney and Matthew Cooney; her daughter Lyla; and her sibling's children, Sheila Hardwick (Vance), Michael and Paul Carignan. She is also survived by her other great grandchildren and nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Rockport High School Drama Scholarship Fund, 24 Jerden's Lane, Rockport, MA 01966.
