He is survived by: his wife Virginia "Ginny" Makowski (Burliuk); his grandsons, Sawyer and Quinten Savlen; his daughter Vanessa Savlen (Louis) of Rockport; and his sister Carol Makowski of Albany. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
