He was predeceased by: his spouse Sandy Farnsworth (Robertson); his parents, Raymond Watling and Madalon Kemp Farnsworth; and his brother Robert Farnsworth of Shirley. He is survived by: his children, Lee R. Farnsworth (Pam), Linda "Lin" Farnsworth Nicolet (Daryl) of Pepperell and Laurie Farnsworth Aho (Mark) of Westminster; and his brother James Farnsworth of Shirley. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
