In loving memory of Irene E. Chipman (Marlborough, Massachusetts), who departed this world on June 28, 2025 at the age of 98. Irene leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Waterhouse Chipman; her son Robert W. Chipman Jr.; her grandson Joseph Robert Loughlin; her parents, George T. McCarthy and Irene Chaisson McCarthy; and her siblings, Richard McCarthy, Dorothy Lussier, George McCarthy, Mary Cavers, Patricia Charest, Lorraine Ouellette, Gloria May and Edward McCarthy.
She is survived by: her daughters, Candace Loughlin (Stephen) of Marlborough, Cynthia Loughlin (Bruce) of Marlborough and Debra Root of Portland; and also Kathleen Chipman of Northborough, Massachusetts.. She is also survived by grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 34 nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Staff Appreciation Fund at Shrewsbury Nursing and Rehab, 40 Julio Drive, Shrewsbury, Massachusetts in her memory would be a fitting tribute to those who cared for her with respect and compassion.
