He was predeceased by: his son Robert Desmarais; and his parents, Alfred Desmarais and Alphonsine Desmarais (Migneault). He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Desmarais (Machado); his children, Steven Desmarais (Donna) of Westport, Russell Desmarais (Gina) of Somerset, Michael Desmarais (Donna) of Somerset and Lori Ferreira (Michael) of Swansea; and his daughter-in-law Kerry Desmarais of Swansea. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
