She was predeceased by: her spouse Abel Freitas; her parent Joe Medeiros; and her sibling Alice Tavares. She is survived by: her parent Mary Medeiros; her son Gilbert A. Freitas (Elaine) of Somerset; her grandchildren, Christopher Freitas (Emily McNamara) of Somerset and Kimberly Pignato (James) of Nantucket; her great grandchildren, Chase and Wrenn Pignato; her nephew David Medeiros; and her sibling Gil Medeiros.
