He is survived by: his daughter Kristen McAuliffe (Gage Russell) of Lunenberg; his brother Michael McAuliffe (Lisa) of St. Augustine, FL; and his cousins, Mary E. McAuliffe of Westboro, MA, Margaret O'Brien of Killarney, Ireland and Lynn Valois.

Facial coverings and social distancing are required throughout the funeral.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in John's name to the South Coast Cancer Center at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
