She was predeceased by : her husband Joao M. Pavao; her parents, Manuel Costa and Alexandrina Costa (Martins Pimental); and her siblings, Manuel Costa, Maria Tavares, Jamie Costa, Luis Costa, William Costa and Jose "Bento" Farias.

She is survived by : her daughter Maria D. Stahl of Medfield, MA; her grandchildren, Zachary and Zara Stahl; and her siblings-in-law, Gilbert Pavao of St. Michael, Azores and Maria Costa of Thunderbay, Canada. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
