He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Silva Markarian (Artar); his children, Brenda Barsoumian (Ara, Thomas Markarian), Edward Markarian (Ani) and Linda Markarian; his grandchildren, Ida, Tina Barsoumian, Sarah, Natalie, Andrew Markarian, Nora and Alex Markarian; his parents, Manoug Markarian and Siranoush Markarian; and his siblings, Lucy Torosian, Markar Markarian and Elizabeth Danieli. He was also cherished by Nieces and Nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Saint Stephen's Armenian Church.
