She was loved and cherished by many people including: her mother Mary Poudim; her husband George; her children, Frederick Safford of Eden, NY and Alison Safford of Jamaica Plain, MA.; and her brothers, Richard (Colette Lallier) of Georgia, Bruce (Barbara Lallier), William and David. She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces.
Her children, in keeping with Claire's wishes, ask that donations be sent to the League of Women Voters, or Wagner College's Department of Biology.
