In loving memory of Thelma La Pierre (South Yarmouth, Massachusetts), who departed this world on October 26, 2025 at the age of 97. Thelma leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmanuel "Van" Ventura and Claire Baddock Ventura; her husband Ray; her sisters, Vivian Sheehan and Gladys Chase; her granddaughter Sarah; and her great grandchild Suzanne.
She is survived by: her children, Michelle Darnell (Arizona), Mona McCabe and Curtis La Pierre. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Viewing will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hallet Funeral Home (273 Station Ave, South Yarmouth, MA 02664). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Pius X Church (5 Barbara St, South Yarmouth, MA 02664).
She served actively in St. Pius X Church groups, raising money for the Food Pantry, which became her signature charity.
