She was predeceased by: her father Benito Nieves. She is survived by: her mother Iris Mercado; her husband Miguel Valentin; her children, Michael G. Valentin and Nanishy M. Franco; her sisters, Iris Nieves (Nelly) and Lizzette Nieves; and her granddaughter Aria Franco.
In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting monetary donations.
