He was predeceased by: his father Dennis B. Sears; and his brother Christopher M. Sears. He is survived by: his mother Maureen Sears (Murphy) of Chicopee; his children, Christina and Christopher P. Sears; and his sister Ellen Dale (Chris) of Springfield. He is also survived by his four nieces, a nephew, and several aunts, uncles, and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Mary, Mother of Hope Parish.
