He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas "Bucky" Ashe and Winifred C. Ashe (Donohue); and his brother Thomas Ashe. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Ann Ambrose of Springfield; his sons, Donald E. Ashe Jr. of Springfield, Stephen T. Ashe of Hampden, Mark F. Ashe of East Longmeadow and Gregory N. Ashe of Springfield; his daughters-in-law, Deborah J. Ashe of East Longmeadow and Sonja Ashe of Longmeadow; and his grandchildren, Meagan Ashe, Brianna Ashe, Nicholas Ashe, Tiernan Ashe and Kyra Ashe.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Donald's memory may be made to the Sacred Heart Church Building Renovation Fund, 395 Chestnut St., Springfield, MA 01104 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
