She was predeceased by : her parents, Antonio Palazzesi and Eunice Palazzesi (Cestari); her husband Raymond J. "Mac" McCarthy; her son-in-law James A. "Jimmy" Grindle; her sisters, Ann Marie Palazzesi, Dora Agrapides (Dennis), Edith M. Cavicchioli (Thomas) and Barbara M. Dobiecki (Walter); and her siblings-in-law, John F. McCarthy, Jr. and Rita M. Sullivan.

She is survived by : her children, Hope Church, Debra A. Aberdale (Thomas) of Chicopee, Judith M. Moriarty (James) of Feeding Hills, Diane M. Grindle of Feeding Hills, Raymond J. McCarthy, Jr. of Chicopee and Robert F. McCarthy (Mary); her grandchildren, Christopher Aberdale (Sarah), Michael Aberdale, Kara Dasso (Adam), Brian, Kate Moriarty, Kelly, Amy Grindle, Samantha and Ashley McCarthy; her great grandchildren, Lily, Liam Aberdale, Jack, Luke and Emma Dasso; and her brother Tony Palazzesi (Ginny) of Somers, CT.

Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, December 13, 2021 from 4 p. m. to 7 p. m. Masks are recommended for her services.

Her family requests that memorial donations be made in her memory to Mary, Mother of Hope Church, 840 Page Boulevard, Springfield, MA 01104 or to the Shriners Hospital for Children, (Please Specify Springfield), 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104.
