Schmitt of Springfield, Massachusetts, born in Albany, New York, who passed away on February 21, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob J. Schmitt and Catherine Schmitt (McCarthy); his wife Beverley Ann Murphy-Schmitt (Murphy); and his son-in-law Fred Richard. He is survived by: his children, Patricia A. Richard of Springfield and Karl D. Schmitt (Cheri) of Bedford, NH. He is also survived by grandchildren, his five cherished great grandchildren; and his extended family members and friends.
