He was predeceased by: his parents, Malcolm Wingard and Mabel Wingard (Marshall); and his wife Regina Wingard (Chechette). He is survived by: his sister Margaret Alldredge (Andrew Selden); his sons, David (Erin) and John of Tuscaloosa, AL.; and his grandchildren, Alex, Violet, Eleanor, Tommy and Serafina.

Jim spent his career dedicated to the needs of children; memorial donations may be made to the YMCA of Springfield.
