He is survived by: his wife Shirley McInerney (Rogers); his son James McInerney Jr.; his wife Lynne; his daughters, Linda Frye, Michelle DeCantillon and Marc; and his siblings, Thomas McInerney and Jean Alvaro. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
