He is survived by: his husband Joan Kocot (Vennard); his parent Buzzy The Clown; his children, Janice LaBroad (David), Jean Steinmetz (Mark Steinmetz) of Stafford Springs, John Kocot (Susan) of Somers and James W. Kocot III; his significant other Joseph Deegan of Sugar Hill, GA; his daughter-in-law Charlene Kocot of Springfield; his grandchildren, Amanda, Holly, Emily, Spencer, Allison, Joni, Marleena, Conner and Keira; his great grandchild Peyton; his sister Marcia Hatten (Tom Hatten) of Philadelphia, PA; his siblings-in-law, Janice Shaw (Edward Shaw) and John Vennard of Springfield; and also, Helen Kocot (Kuczynski) and East Longmeadow.
