With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John A. Hanson (Springfield, Massachusetts), born in Houlton, Maine, who passed away on April 5, 2020 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret "Peggie" Hanson (Parkinson) and Clayton Hanson; his son Terry Jon of Springfield, MA; his siblings, Ralph "Eddie" Hanson, Robert, David Hanson, Paul Hanson and Jean Ayotte (Hanson); and his daughters-in-law, Maryanne Hanson and Melissa Soja.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Alice" Sharkey of Woodstock, N. B.; his children, Dale of Boston, MA, David of East Longmeadow, MA, Marie Hanson (Mike Haynes) of Houlton, Stacee Crane (Hall) of Spingfield, MA and Jessica Swistak (Derek); his siblings, Mary Hanson (Foster) and Bill Hanson (Dianne); and his grandchildren, Chris, Joe LaChance of Boston, MA, John, Kevin Hanson of Boston, MA, Luke Hanson of East Longmeadow, MA, Chelsea of Houlton, Weston of Houlton, Julia Langley of Houlton, Griffin of Granby, MA, Brodie Funk of Granby, MA and Autumn Swistak of Granby, MA.
John always stayed close to his Parkinson family roots in Richmond Corner, N.B. where he spent time on the beloved farm.
