He was predeceased by: his parent John E. Mahoney; and his brother-in-law Richard J. McCabe. He is survived by: his parent Catherine D. Mahoney (Ryan); his brother Patricia E. McCabe of West Springfield; his nieces, Mark McCabe, Maureen Tsatsos (Anthony), Meg McCabe, Christopher Mahoney (Jenifer Piegaro Mahoney), Rebecca Mahoney and Nathaniel Tsatsos; his friend Rene Roy; his significant other Lynne Bennett; and also Tiffany Fitzpatrick (Sean) of Chicopee.
In lieu of flowers, his family requests that memorial donations be made in his memory to the Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society, P.O. 6307, Springfield, MA 01101-6307.
