It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jose Luis Alvarez-Pagan (Springfield, Massachusetts), who passed away on February 7, 2022, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Alvarez and Carmen Pagan; and his siblings, Freddie Alvarez, Gladys Alvarez and Carmen Alvarez.

He is survived by: his wife Esterbina Irizarry; his children, Hernan Pacheco, Jose Pacheco, Janer Martinez, Brenda Cruz, Gladys Alvarez, Nancy Alvarez, Ana Rosa Pastrana and Cindy Martinez; and his brother Eddie Alvarez.
