He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Coleman Sr. and Nellie Coleman Moss (Walker); his son Karl Coleman; and his siblings, Mamie King and Joseph Coleman Jr..
He is survived by: his stepfather Edward Moss Sr.; his wife Octavia Coleman; his children, Kenneth Coleman and Katharine Clark; and his siblings, Regenia Clayton, Eddie Moss, Louise Patton and Johnnie Moss. He is also survived by three grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to bless the ministries of New Life Calvary Baptist Church.
